At Kindity, one of our processes is to make learning visible. What better way to do this than by having our own Kitchen Garden! We use gardening and composting to help kids make connections in Science, Montessori Practical Life, and Global Citizenship. Kids can learn science concepts, see how these concepts relate to them, and experience how their actions can be part of the solution to a global issue! We teach kids that composting is a process of breaking down organic matter into a nutrient-rich soil. It is an environmentally-friendly and sustainable practice that can reduce the amount of organic waste sent to landfills while providing a valuable source of fertiliser for our gardens and plants!
You can help your child participate in this by bringing kitchen wastes to add to our compost bins each week.
